Do you tutor in person?

I do tutor in person within a certain radius, please contact me for more information. I also tutor online using Zoom (I was using Zoom before it was cool, thank you very much).

Hourly Rate

My standard rate is $55/hour for online sessions using Zoom, and $75/ hour for in-person sessions. There is always a chance I’m feeling generous, especially for students in extraordinary circumstances, so please reach out if you wish to negotiate.

What happens if you raise your rates?

Whatever rate you sign up with will be your rate for forever and always. It’s a little perk for staying with me.

What payment methods are accepted?

Most major credit cards, bank transfers, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal. You will be sent an invoice after the lesson is complete via email. Prompt payment is appreciated.

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a very generous cancellation policy: please give me six hours notice. You can cancel through your lesson confirmation email. Life does happen to all of us, and sometimes we forget to cancel (and sometimes we forget a lesson is scheduled in the first place) so please contact me regardless. You get 3 freebies. If there is habitual last minute cancelling/ missed lessons, then I will charge you the full hourly rate. Habitual is defined at my discretion. If I have to charge you the cancellation fee 3 times then you will be removed from my client list.

How many students do you accept?

I do not take more than 25 students in a semester. I find that any more than that does not allow me to give the individualized attention that is required.

Do you tutor groups?

Yes, up to 6 students, online or in person, for $10 extra per student per hour on top of my hourly rate.
